What a day yesterday was. I started out from Brad & Pat's house here in Tulsa, heading for Eureka Springs, AR. Since I have never headed that way from here before, I got a bit lost. I headed east on the Broken Arrow Expressway thinking that it would hook up with the 412 East. After I realized that it was the it would not, I pulled out the map and plannded out my route Wagoner to Tehlequah to Fayetteville and then on to Eureka Springs. The average length of time it takes to get from Tulsa to Eureka Springs is about 2 hours. That is not how my trip went. I left the house at about 9:00 am and arrived in Eureka Springs by 1:00 pm. Needless to say that shot the day all to hell. I had lunch at this wonderful Indianesque restaurant. The buffet had curried potatoes, chickpea soup and a ground beef goulash over saffron basmati rice. About 2:00 I visited with Jeff of LeatherBound and his wife for an hour or two or three and we talked of business and how he is doing. (His new LASER engraver is great.) I was on the road by 5:00.
