Since I arrived in Dallas I have been hankering for Korean food. I have not had Soonbudu in quite awhile. Last night I looked up where the Korea House Restaurant was. I need fabreeze, so I was going to go to the nearest CVS/Walgreens to get some. I thought that I would just drive by to make sure I knew where the restaurant was. I drove north on IH-35 and turned off on Royal. I went for 1 block and all of the sudden I realized that all the store signs were in Korean. I was awe struck. I was in the middle Korea-town Dallas. THIS IS SO COOL! I thought to my self. I will have to come by he in the day time.
So, I wanted Korean food.... shelbycub was up for it. He can be quite adventurous. Beside he is always looking for new material.... At about 5:30 I asked if he wanted to go. shelbycub said that every one he mentioned Korean to, they gave this grimmice face and was not interested. OK fine. It is cool, I have no problem. But I REALLY want Korean food. (There is this really cut guy who is vending for the first time here at TBRU. His name is Bob. He does some killer shirts you can check them out at his site www.killerbob.com. But there are no pictures of him there, I will have to take some at the vendor market tomorrow.) So, I asked Bob if he had any plans for dinner. Wow was I shocked that he did not. He said that he would love to go. We took my van up to the Korea House. I was really nice and very traditionally Korean. I ordered an order of mandu and then a regular platter of mixed sushi. He order the Mandu soup and I order Soondubu. We the main course arrived, I was so pleased with the 10 different dishes of kim chee that accompanied it. We were just chatting and munching. I wanted to take a pictures so bad, but I forgot my camera. Damn! We had gotten there about 9:00 and at 10 to 10:00 the place was empty and the waitress was giving us the bill like, "OK you are finished now.... You go home." We both were stuffed and the had to get a to-go box for the rest of the Kim Chee. I will have a great lunch tomorrow.
Now it off to the hospitality suit for a night cap and then probably off to bed. Tomorrow is another day.
