4 days and counting.

On Friday morning I fly to Orlando. I have been a lot of places, but Florida was never on the list of places to see. I am not much for amusement parks and I HATE rollercosters, so I never really had a desire to go to Disney World. I know that sound kind of, well, anti-American.
Now that I am actually going, I am looking forward to it. It will be great to see Rickey again. I know that I just saw him in Chicago for IML. I will be helping him vend at Orlando Gay Pride and at BearBust. It should be ever so interesting. I really can't image it, 10 days in Florida.

Rickey had mentioned that we should go to Epcot Center. It sounds fun but a bit on the expensive side.

I am planning on taking my camera and my laptop.

Well, no actually it would be more like Rickey the bear. He is the owner of BearInk and he is a woofy bear. He has been a vendor from IBR to BearInvasion and alot of the bear events in between.

You may find Epcot to be a pleasant surprise, particularly the World Showcase.

Have a great time!

That is what a lot of people have told me. Since I love other cultures, I am looking forward to it.

A hidden Treasure
If you like Tiffany Stained Glass works, you might like to check out the Morse Museum in Winter Park. Florida. Winter Park is just north of Orlando.

Quite a collection of Tiffany's works, due to the fact that many of the works were literally saved from the fire damaged personal home of Louis Comfort Tiffany.

Re: A hidden Treasure
Thanks Mark. I like stained glass and it would be nice to see that.

I think you might enjoy Epcot and MGM. It's not about the rides, but the interesting things to do and see. Cool animation studio at MGM!

Wait.. I'm not the only bear who hates coasters? Rawk!

(Actually the only Disney ride I've been on that I won't do again is Splash Mountain. I've tried it twice and didn't like it either time. I've only been to Disneyland though, so I don't know how the Disney World rides are.)

The last rollercoster that I was on was Space Mountian at Disneyland in the early 90's. "Hated it!"
I'm sure that it has to do with my major control issues....

Coasters don't thrill me either. I don't see the point. However, when I'm soaring down a coaster, I can't help but LAUGH (not scream).

Safe journey. The one and only time I attended Bear Bust was in 2003, the last year it was housed at that old (and, at that point, dilapidated) Howard Johnson's, or whatever it was ~ I think it was excised from the franchise because of the conditions.

I'm jealous. I so badly wanted to do Bear Bust this year. I know a bunch of folks going that I haven't seen since last century. ;)

But I'd rather do a trip to Wichita again. ;)
