Brrrrrr

It finally happened. It has happened every year and it will continue to happen until the Sun burns itself out. But, still every time it happens I feel a little distressed. This morning I walk out of the house to go to work and it happend, I could see my breath! In the midwest this is a sure sign that the cold of winter is on its way.

Growing up in Michigan and Chicago, I have never been a fan of the winter months. The constant bundling up to stay warn and then un-bundling because of sweat and then bundling again, it is like a bad shampoo loop (lather, rinse, repeat...)

Logically I understand the need for winter and that it will only last a few short months, But I really just want it to be summer all the time.

Oh I think that snow is very beautiful and great to look at, as long as it is through a window and I'm in warmth.

I think winter has its charms. Snowball fights, cuddling up with someone and drinking hot chocolate, snowflakes falling by moonlight, etc. Until about February, then I start hating it.

One of the reasons that I hate the cold weather so much is that I like to be outside and with as few clothes as permissible by law...... ;)

Maybe there's a polar bear dip on New Year's Day at a nude beach. :)

the cold doesn't bother me as much as the darkness!
I i was king of the world, I would put mirrors in space and promise everyone an 18 hour day.

If I had the money I'd spend half a year in the southern hemisphere!

I have always wanted to visit Norway and Finland to see the land of the midnight sun, but it is the snow and cold weather that keeps me away.

There is a new Travelocity commercial that mentions staying in an Ice Hotel, and I think to myself, "Are you fricking kidding me!"

I could do the Ice Hotel, I remember the beds were well insulated. The idea of living in that translucent environment sounds wicked cool!

But then again they never showed you the bathroom.

Well.....being in Michigan...we finally dropped below 85 for a daytime temp today. Over the weekend we were hotter than Honalulu, Florida and Death Valley. Tomorrow, supposidly, we are only going to hit in the 60's....I've been waiting impatiently for fall...........................
