Delayed....

Well, I got all packed and ready. Went to bed relatively early to get up at 4:30 to make my 6:30 am flight from Wichita to Memphis. When I finally get to the counter to check in I see that the departure time has changed to 7:36 am. An hour difference. They said that the delay is due to "crew rest" I guess that means that the pilot needs a nap. My connection in Memphis, originally, had 1 hour and 30 min. I asked at the counter if there would be a problem, Rick, the woofy bear at the desk said, "not at all, you've got 30 min." This will not be the first time that I will have gotten stuck in Memphis. Usually I caught in Memphis on the way home and it is on a Monday and in the rain. I usually take the last flight out and therefore get stuck. This time it should only be a delay. Since it is one of the first flights in the morning and I am on the way to my destination. Wish me luck.

At least Wichita has installed these nice workstations that have power and internet ports.

seeing as how my family lives in Memphis, in the past I always left and arrived at that airport... I never realized it had that many problems. Hope you make it through ok...

It is not the airport as it is Northwest Air.
Thanks, I made the connection by the skin of my teeth.

There was a woofy blonde bear behind the ticket counter in Wichita.

That was my exact thought. :)

Actually, I ended up running through the airport and makeing the plane just as they were about to close the door.

Hopefully your connection went well.

And I was impressed at the Wichita airport. The work stations were nice. Now, if the businessmen who decide that they need to use them as lunch counters WHEN THEY DON'T HAVE LAPTOPS would just get out of the way...

Thanks, I made the connection but I had to run the airport.

I have not been to the airport in quite awhile and I was impressed with the workstations.

The workstations were very very nice. I've been through a number of airports this year and it was very much the best. It also had a lot of visible power outlets, which are increasingly rare. (I'm actually surprised they haven't tried charging for access.)
