The first leg of the trip was Wichita to Camp Gaea, in Leavenworth County. The Laid Back Labor Day was lots of fun. Lots of Pagan and dancing naked around the big fire. I guess that is most of what I can say about it. Cameras were not looked favorably upon and "what happens at LaidBack stays at LaidBack" I heard more than once.

After leaving Gaea, I cleaned up and rested a bit at gryphons_hole and met Andy & Alan and Patrick & Shaun for Indian Food. There was fantastic food and great company. After dinner we retired to Patrick & Shaun's for the lasted episode of Project Runway that the DVR had recorded while we were dancing nekkid around the fire.

The 2nd leg - Kansas City to Madison, WI:
The Smartie is doing great. I have made it to Ames, IA (200 mi) on about 6-6.5 gal and I am going to try and make it to Cedar Rapids before I have to fill up. Lunch at Panera (yeah for free WiFi) and I am on my way...

I so completely mis-read the "dancing naked" part to say that you were dancing naked in a circle around the Project Runway Finale.

Gay coven, we only wear silk robes with matching ceremonial head-wreaths and the cakes and wine is Milano cookies and Veuve Cliquot.

Camp Gaea is less than an hour from where I live. Pretty much everybody here in town has been out there at least once. It's always a naked fest out there, and pretty much caters to gay events or pagan events and whatever overlap there is. I'll still never forget the day I saw a twink try to pick up a snapping turtle that was about 2 feet across. He didn't get bitten, but it sure made him shriek.
