I knew this day would come :(

I knew this day would come. I am very sad that I had to say goodbye to my Mitsubishi Van. I loved that van. A unique vehicle. Even the Mitsubishi dealership had never seen one before. Should'a would'a could'a fixed it, but after sitting in the back yard for almost 5 years, it is time to say goodbye.

I know the feeling. I have a Dodge Ram Pickup that's been sitting for 2 years. This year I either get it running or donated to Public Radio. (It ran fine when I parked it).

Word to the wise...Never search for your old car crash tests on Youtube. As nostalgic as we get for favorite vehicles... Be glad of modern safety technology.

Is that a Delica? I LOVE those. They started popping up here a few years ago as used imports.

Aw, I'm sorry. I'm a bit of a "gear head." Always have been. Now that I'm older, I don't keep cars for very long. But back when, I had a Volvo 240DL that got me through the last years of college and law school, asking for only tires, new oil, and a water pump. So many memories were attached to that rusty thing. I had my first sexual experience with a professor in that car. :) Notice I said first... as in "not the last." At almost 300,000 miles and living in Kansas, Ohio, Missouri, and Colorado, it was time to say goodbye. I really did feel a lump in my throat on that day. Hugs, my friend.

Wow. Has it been five years, already...?

Poor little toaster; it never got its slice of bread for the roof...

I understand totally where you're coming from on this. Friday morning I'll be taking my '01 Mazda truck to her new owners, and getting a new car.
I already had about 5 minutes of crying time, tonight.

Sorry to hear that. *HUG* I cried when I sold off my old Aerostar. But it was one less worry and ultimately was better for me.

Hang in there. *HUG*
